The Burmese military junta has again extended its deadline for the Karen ceasefire group, the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA), to transform its troops into a border guard force (BGF), threatening to resort to armed intervention unless it does so by August 10, according to sources close to the DKBA.
